Homework December 1-5

Monday, December 1
  1. Finish bingo squares & cut out for vocab bingo review
  2. Review test on units 4-6 on Friday
  3. Pgs. 1 & 2 of Comma packet #1
  4. Typed rough draft of Ulysses essay conclusion DUE TOMORROW-explain how Ulysses' weaknesses outweighed his strengths or how his strengths outweighed his weaknesses and then include a universal message about the topic and a text to world connection that will keep the reader thinking about the topic of leadership. If you find a suitable quotation about leadership, you might also include this as a powerful conclusion to your essay.
  5. Review your chapter and plan what each panel should show for cartoon project
Tuesday, December 2
  1. Final copy of Ulysses essay typed following the composition style sheet due Thursday
  2. Attach rough draft(s) behind final copy as well as all other pre-writing/brainstorming
  3. Page 3 of comma packet #1/think of two possible ways to include direct address in your cartoon
  4. Fill in procedures 1 and 2 on cartoon project assignment sheet
  5. Page 78 "Word Associations" for review 4-6
Wednesday, December 3
  1. Final copy of Ulysses essay due tomorrow with rough drafts and pre-writing attached
  2. Vocabulary test on units 4-6 on Friday
  3. Pages 4,5 & 6 in comma packet due tomorrow
  4. Work with partner to decide which panels of cartoon will be close up, panoramic, or bird's eye view.
Thursday, December 4
  1. Study units 4-6 for review test tomorrow
  2. Continue working on Ulysses cartoon project which is DUE NEXT FRIDAY. Decide where you will place your similes, metaphor, hyperbole or personification in the narration or dialogue of your cartoon chapter.
  3. Finish reading your adventure novel by the end of next week

  1. Continue working on your cartoon project due NEXT FRIDAY
  2. Finish reading your adventure novel by the end of next week.
