If you find a suitable quotation about leadership, you might also include this as a powerful conclusion to your essay.

2. Why does the boy tell his father to leave the sickroom? What does this reveal about the boy?
3. Why does the boy think he will die?
4. In what way did the boy's bravery and/or fear contribute to the problem in the story?
5. In your own words, describe the boy's internal conflict.
6. Identify two actions and two spoken sentences that show the boy's internal conflict.
7. How might the story have been different if, right after the doctor's visit, the boy had asked when he would die?
Due Wednesday-Read "The Night the Bed Fell" and record five passages/excerpts that you found humorous. Explain why each passage was humorous to you.
